Fill a shallow pain with water, add some glycerin and dawn soap and stir it around until you get a pattern you like. the blow on it until the colors start to swirl and coalesce. That is how I got this shot. Have patience, it rains a lot in the Pacific Northwest winter and I need something creative to do. These images look great as a metal print as well as on duvet covers, shower curtains, and mugs.

My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible.
