Detail of a door found at Audley Hall revealing the impressive nails and aged wood. I am not sure if the nails are functional or decorative but its impressive that they have lasted for hundreds of years. The knocker or handle itself is offset to jaunty angle. It must have been painted at one point, as there is a touch of bright green paint at about 6 oclock.
About Jean Noren
My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
