A visit to the Japanese garden in the fall. All is beautiful, colorful and manicured. Only a few stray leaves are left on the ground. All the rest have been raked up so that everything looks pristine. The edge of the river rocks is smooth and sharp and only a few stray leaves mar the perfection.
My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
