My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.

the word worm wouldn't normally make me think of beauty, but this is stunning! I love it

Love him! I saw this and voted for it over in the SCUBA CONTEST... cool looking WORM??? It's purple and the background is black, so it's a winner in my book! fV

Love this image!

Thanks Dawn. This was pre-digital taken with Nikonos, last frame on the roll and I thought I was taking a photo of a falling leaf at the end of a dive, just to use up the film. What a surprise when the fim was processed.
