Description
A flamingo tongue found on the sand in Belize. These mollusks are more routinely found munching away on coral. Although the munching is in pretty slow motion. The patterns on the mantle tend to look different on the various indivduals.

Now this is something new and beautiful. I just did an internet search to educate myself on this species. Is this one only an inch long? Nicely done, regards Derek

Yes, they are small. I used a 100mm macro for this. I havent seen them as often on my last few trips to the tropics - and they always seem to be tucked away in the coral so you cant get a good shot. I was thrilled to find this one out in the open. Looks like someone painted them doesnt it?
