A look down the ceiling of the nave in the spectacular Ely cathedral in Cambridgeshire, England.
The Nave architecture is Norman, with its distinctive round arches. The term 'nave' comes from the Latin navis, meaning 'ship'. The medieval Church used to think of itself as the vessel in which the faithful could journey safely to God, and Ely Cathedral is known as the 'Ship of the Fens'.

My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
