Complicated Rust Canvas Print

Its an old truck in SW Washington state, but it could be anywhere a vehicle is left out in the elements for decades. The original paint color is lost forever but the black moss and yellow green lichen has taken its place. The underlying metal is rusted to a beautiful orange red color. Maybe the current palate is more attractive than the original but who knows.

My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible.
