Its not quite cold enough to freeze the stream this little stream at the base of Mt Hood in Oregon, but its cold enough to produce a layer of ice over the rocks in the middle of the stream. The layers of ice over the rocks make interesting patterns and designs. This one resembles a face with blinders..Just use your imagination.
My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
