Description
A large green iguana found on the island of Bonaire in the Dutch Antilles. I am not sure if this is a yawn of boredom or fatigue or just a good stretch of his mouth muscles. He is perched on a rock ledge above the Caribbean and right next to the restaurant of a dive resort. He has an external tympanic membrane just above the white circle on his cheek. The white thing is also involved in hearing. His vision is sharper than his hearing and he has a third eye on top of his head that can see shadows and movement. This likely comes in handy when his main predator, a big bird, comes swooping down for a bite. The spikes might also be a deterrent. I love the beautiful shade of the ocean in the background.
