Product Details

Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

Artist's Description

A graceful Hawksbill turtle checks us out as he cruises by. It is always a treat to see a turtle while diving. Sometimes they can be quite friendly and hang around during an entire dive. Other times they will swim by and check you out but maintain a safe distance. They look awkward but have no problem swimming awy when they tire of your presence. The hawksbill sea turtle is a Critically Endangered sea turtle belonging to the family Cheloniidae, genus Eretmochelys. The species has a worldwide distribution.
Conservation status: Critically Endangered
Scientific name: Eretmochelys imbricata
They get the name “Hawksbill “ from the curved shape of their beak. Food sources are sponges and reef invertebrates. When eating stinging jellyfish, hawksbills close their unprotected eyes which are the only part of their body susceptible to the venom. Taken in Belize.

About Jean Noren

Jean Noren

My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
