Artist's Description

Pacific tree frog peaking out of a halloween pumpkin. The pumpkin was aging on my patio and various types of bugs were attracted to it. You can see an out of focus cucumber bug above the frogs head. I suspect the presence of the bugs attracted this pacific tree frog. In other similar photos, its evident how obese this frog is. He seems to be skilled at finding his food.

About Jean Noren

Jean Noren

My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
