My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph. I also try to get to tropical waters as often as possible to go SCUBA diving and get underwater images.
My latest venture has been creating scarfs from my nature pattern images. They can be found on Shopvida where profits go to help literacy programs in third world countries.
Enjoy the photos.
