Thank you Patricia. When I took the photo, I was impressed by the color organization but after putting it on my computer, I saw how interesting the buttons were. Lots of neat shapes here.

Artist's Description

Its too cold outside and you want to take photographs. A trip to the fabric store can be a great source off colors designs and patterns. What do you do with a photo like this? Put a grouping of them in your sewing room or family room. Or put the straight photo next to the manipulated one for a series in the same colors. Photo by Jean Noren, Taken in Portland, Oregon.

About Jean Noren

Jean Noren

My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
