Description
This pretty little berry is native to the Pacific Northwest. It is edible although I have never tried it. It resembles of Salmonberry as well as a raspberry. It is not been developed commercially because it's too delicate. I have been told, but perhaps not by a reliable source, that berries with clusters like this are always safe to eat. A nice thing to know if you're starving in the wilderness.
This was photographed with a Macro lens, against a background of a beautifully colored rock.

This is something totally new to me, Jean. Very beautiful floral blossom. Looks like a cross between a strawberry and a raspberry.
