Description
An underwater image of feather duster worms taken while scuba diving in Belize. These tiny, feathery, constantly moving feathers are actually the gills of the worm which is embedded in the coral. There job is to dust the ocean for debris and clean it up but ingestion. This colony is tucked between two types of coral and likely benefits from current being funneled between the two structures.
