A bristle worm crawling over the closed coral, looking for its next meal. This image was taken in Bonaire during the day. It looks beautiful as it undulates over the coral, but you get a nasty sting if you happen to brush against the hair like projections. Taken with a macro lens in a housed Olympus camera.
My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
