These ubiquitous tiny Pacific Tree Frogs make an incredible racket during their mating season. Its impossible to locate them by the call unless you are a female frog but they are easily seen in the garden during the day. They are docile and easily posed. I am not sure if they do not care if you pose them or if they are terrified motionless, but they do make an easy subject.
My passion is underwater and nature photography. I particularly like finding patterns and designs in nature and getting down to the very basics with super macro views. In my early years, I had extremely poor vision and, as a consequence, I would get very close to things in order to see them. I think this handicap influenced my technique as I tend to try and create brightly colored, closely cropped, in-your-face images that are easy to see. Revealing the beauty in the mundane is my goal. I live in the countryside of western Oregon and have no trouble finding frogs, birds, mushrooms and flowers to photograph.I travel to warm waters for underwater shots as often as possible. Enjoy the photos.
