Description
Its wonderful to see these wildflowers in the spring in the Pacific Northwest. The name Trillium makes sense when you see the three petals but how in the world did the eastern version of this plant get the name wakerobin? Thats just weird. The spider was a bonus. If I had seen him when I took the photo, I might have waited until he had crawled up on the petal. This is the type of spider that paralyses its prey and sucks out their insides. Not nice.
