Description
Blennies are small and have long thin ventral fins. They tend to be on the bottom or in coral or rocks. Most have fleshy appendages, called cirri, growing above their eyes which look for all the world like eyelashes. In Bonaire, where this guy was found, there are many that live in holes in the coral and dart out for tidbits that float by. The first time I saw one was while looking at images after a dive. I had focused on the coral and was not even aware that he was there. Hiding most of his body in the coral probably protects him from being a tidbit himself.
